Life and Death
It was as if in preparation for the emotional outburst, I fell back to imagery towards the end of 2017 and started on a new approach towards the ‘subconscious art’ idea. Beginning with ‘Traveler’, ‘Annunciation’ and ‘Blonde in Red’, the preliminary lines has become more and more forceful, confident and determined. Images hidden subconsciously within pages of haystacks of lines awaiting to be found.
During my final visit when my mother was still able to walk about, line drafts of ‘The Last Breath’ and ‘The Last Ritual’ was already on paper. The’ Reaper’ and the ‘Hospice’ were half completed not knowing the reasons for their appearance.
Then came the night when she passed away, I began sensing this emotion, in energy form, encircling my being for days and months. Thoughts and feelings could not be put in words. Completing drawings, one after another, is the only speech I have on the event.
This is ongoing, I believe, that tint of sadness and thoughts on life never could leave my subconscious.

Blue Period
Stepping into 2019, I started the Blue series. It is in my blood that I have to move onto different interpretations and directions. After finishing ‘Adoration’ and ‘Separate Directions’, I began to feel that 'finishing' seems somewhat ineffective and overdone. At the same time, I traced back my adoration for Schiele’s works. They are simple, direct with a personal touch in colour placements. With reference to the paper collages I exercised years ago, I began to leave specific desired areas blank. In turn, these bare emptiness provide the viewers insights to my creative process. I often get comments about my limited palette, but art is not about colours, it is about a personal taste and state of mind. More works would be uploaded as they are 'executed'.
